Anne-Mette Ribov

Humanistic Integrative Counsellor

Long- and short-term person-centred counselling in Bath
I believe each person is the real expert on her or himself, but when we face big issues and transitions in life, it is all too easy to get confused about how we feel or where to turn. At times like this, counselling can be a great help. I offer a warm, supportive and honest relationship in which we will talk about what you are struggling with without judgment. Together we will explore how you feel, what is important to you and find the best way for you to move forward.
I offer short term or long term counselling – either face-to-face or online – to suit your needs and can help with issues including:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship issues
  • Sexual abuse, sexual assault and rape
  • Childhood abuse and adverse experience
  • Identity and belonging
  • Disability
  • Family relations
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time on the same day each week. Sessions cost £40.
I am a member of BACP and adhere to their guidelines regarding ethics and confidentiality. I have regular supervision to ensure the high standards of my work.

About me
I'm orginally from Denmark, but now live in Bath with my children and a cat. Before training to be a counsellor I have worked in different jobs with children, persons with disabilities and vulnerable adults and their families. I am particularly interested in how cultural and social structures and pressures are connected to our mental health. Before coming to the UK I lived many years in Germany and I have also previously lived in the USA and Chile. As well as English, I also speak Danish and German.
Please get touch to find out how I can help you.
